Seed Technology Research
Characterization of different crops
- Linseed: Out of 22 reference varieties 21 were maintained at JNKVV, Jabalpur.
- Lentil: 16 reference varieties were maintained at JNKVV, Jabalpur.
- Pigeonpea: 16 reference varieties were maintained at JNKVV, Jabalpur
Infrastructure Laboratory:

Library:
- Departmental library is in existence which contains important books, old journals
and the entire PG thesis
- Question bank: It includes 2000 questions of all the subjects of Plant Breeding
& Genetics for preparing ARS- NET Examination.
Salient Achievements
- Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics has accomplished 368 Masters and 49 Doctoral
degrees since 1969.
- These all degree holders are working in National and International Government as
well as private Institutions and posted on various high ranking posts.
