History of the department.

The Department of Extension Education, Jabalpur came into existence with the establishment of Government College of Agriculture at Jabalpur in July 1955. The M.Sc. (Ag.) in Extension Education was started during the year 1958 and Doctorate programme was started in the year 1984 under Advance Centre for Extension Education at Jabalpur.
